A beach or camping day goes better with dry gear, a way to change and a way to rinse off. These five picks all come from the outdoor brand Malo’o, and each section lists what the Amazon listing says and what to check first.
Malo’o 30L Waterproof Dry Bag Backpack
Listed on Amazon for $39.95, rated 4.6 out of 5 from 85 ratings. The listing describes a 30L roll-top dry bag backpack in heavy duty 500D PVC with padded straps and an IPX6 waterproof rating, for kayaking, fishing, the beach, camping and travel.
Good for: keeping a change of clothes and a phone dry on a boat or at the beach. Watch out for: IPX6 means it resists splashes and strong water jets, not being fully submerged, so do not rely on it underwater.
Malo’o Sherpa Lined Surf Parka Changing Robe
Listed on Amazon for $99.95, rated 4.6 out of 5 from 113 ratings. The listing describes a waterproof and windproof long-sleeve hooded dry robe with a sherpa lining, made for changing out of a wetsuit or swimsuit.
Good for: cold-weather surf or swim days when you want something warm to change in. Watch out for: it is the most expensive item here, and the listing has several size options, so check the size chart.
Malo’o Nalu Changing Poncho for Adults and Kids
Listed on Amazon for $14.78, rated 3.5 out of 5 from 6 ratings. The listing describes a hooded, quick-dry surf and swim towel poncho made from recycled materials, for adults and kids at the beach, pool or camping.
Good for: a low-cost way to dry off and change at the beach. Watch out for: there are only 6 ratings so far, so the 3.5 average is not a large sample.
Malo’o 5 Gallon Solar Shower Bag with Temperature Gauge
Listed on Amazon for $22.95, rated 3.8 out of 5 from 41 ratings. The listing describes a 19L solar shower bag with a temperature gauge, an adjustable flow nozzle and a toiletry pouch, for camping and outdoor use.
Good for: a simple rinse at a campsite without hookups. Watch out for: it depends on sun to heat the water, and the 3.8 rating is on the lower side, so read the lower-star reviews first.
Malo’o Waterproof Neoprene Car Seat Cover
Listed on Amazon for $29.95, rated 4.2 out of 5 from 88 ratings. The listing describes a universal neoprene seat protector against water, sweat, mud, sand and dogs, for surfing, swimming, the gym and fishing.
Good for: protecting a driver seat after the beach or the gym. Watch out for: it is sold as universal fit, and the listing has more than one option at different prices, so check that the version matches your seat.
I have not tested these products myself. The details above come from the Amazon listings and their customer ratings, and prices and availability can change, so check the listing before you buy.
